Being pregnant is a blessing but can be a difficult time especially for first time moms and during this covid-19 pandemic. As a first-time mom your main concern is how to stay healthy for yourself and the baby. So, you read and research any and everything throughout your pregnancy. You want to make sure you are putting the best products/food in your body, make sure you aren’t taking the wrong medicine, or maybe it’s what can help and make the crazy changes in your body easier to deal with.

Mega food prenatal is my top favorite because prenatal are one of the most important part of your pregnancy. Two they are vegeterian and made with real food. I came across these prenatal by searching for top organic prenatal. Even though there were many options to choose from I chose this brand because it had more of the main vitamins needed during pregnancy and instead of folic acid it had folate which is very important to take at this time. Folate is very important during pregnancy because it helps with the development of the baby and helps avoid birth defects with the baby’s brain and spinal cord.
During pregnancy women have a very high chance of getting yeast infections even if they never had them before. Therefore, if you take a probiotic it helps balance your gut, flora, and lower your chance of getting a yeast infection. I choose this brand because before I become pregnant, I was taking their women probiotics which helps with avoiding yeast infections and keeping your gut and lady parts balanced properly. Their products contain very high strains of the probiotics that are needed to balance your gut flora.
WATER, WATER, WATER is what you hear throughout your pregnancy make sure you drink water more then you usually do which should be the 8 cups a day. Because it was so hard to keep track of how much water I was drinking I decided to get a gallon water bottle with time, and it became my favorite way to drink water. Before I was pregnant, I would get just enough water but with my bottle I can keep track and now how much water I had for the day
Prune juice have become one of my favs because of the constipation you deal with during pregnancy. This has helped a lot being pregnant with a growing belly then have to deal with the bloated feeling due to gas and constipation can be a pain so to avoid that I drink prune juice to keep me flowing. But not only will prune juice help you have make sure you are eating enough fiber.
Coconut oil has a lot of benefits. I can go on and on about it, but I will do that for another post. While I’m pregnant I use coconut oil for my belly. During my second trimester my belly started to itch. And everyone in my family would say don’t scratch it that’s how you get stretch marks. So, to avoiding scratching it, stopping the itching, and avoiding stretch marks I started rubbing coconut oil on my belly. I did this after I took my shower at night and in the morning before I get dress for work.
Boy!! was this product a life saver. During my pregnancy I got really bad headaches, were I had to call off days of work. As some of you may know when pregnant you can’t take much medicine. Well, I end up going to the doctor and they advised me to take vitamin b and magnesium. I started off with the pill form of magnesium, but they didn’t help. I later started used the natural calm magnesium powder and it helped a lot. As soon as I felt a headache coming, I will take the direct dosage and it will be gone within an hour or two.
